Taking Stargazing to New Heights

As we slowly made our way up the road full of dirt and rocks, the mountain felt different. It took me a few minutes to recognize some of my favorite trails and I thought ‘huh, who knew all this green grass was here?’ and ‘whoa, that looks way steeper without snow.’ While the winter is tranquil in its own way, there’s something even more peaceful now. I chalk it up to the people - or lack thereof - and all the wildlife we saw along the way.


SEATTLE—July 9, 2018 -- Explore the Colorado Rocky Mountains and try something new this summer with experiences and classes through REI’s Adventure Station now available at Copper Mountain. From guided stargazing complete with beer and wine to summiting a 13er to sharpening backcountry survival skills, a menu of programs offer unique Colorado experiences throughout the summer months. Highlights for brand-new summer experiences include:

Go Take a Hike

No, really. Get out there! One of the most iconic things you can do in Colorado during the summer is hike. Combine the beautiful weather with incredible views and you’ve got a perfect way to spend a day. Not to mention the great exercise you’ll get. Copper and the surrounding areas offer trails suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Improvements Update - May 23

The month of May has been a busy one for our operations crews! If you haven't heard, both the American Eagle and American Flyer lifts are being replaced for the 2018-19 winter season. The Eagle will be a combination lift of gondola cabins and 6-person chairs while the Flyer will be a 6-person chair with bubble enclosures. Also, a brand new entry monument is currently being built!
