Nothing works up an appetite like a full day of sucking in fresh mountain air while ziplining, biking, hiking, golfing, go-karting and showing off your ninja skills in the Woodward WreckTangle. Answering post-adventure grumbling stomachs, some of the resort’s top restaurants are rolling out new summer dining specials.
Here’s where to kick back, refuel and cap your day at Copper this summer.
The Place: C.B. Grille
When: Tuesdays
The Deal: This is where you go for choice Angus steaks, wild game and striped bass; where you celebrate your anniversary or bring friends for an upscale happy hour. On Tuesdays, head to C.B. Grille for Surf & Turf night. Steak and lobster tail are served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables for only $19.95. A separate nightly summer special, spend $50 on regular priced menu items and get a $25 voucher towards your next C.B. Grille visit. Coupon is good for seven days. Restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday during summer.
The Place: JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern
When: Wednesdays
The Deal: You can’t walk by JJ’s in the East Village without slow-smoked barbecue wafts grabbing your arm and teasing your stomach. On Whole Pig Wednesdays, the acclaimed pit masters slow roast an entire pig over an outdoor pit and serve it up with all-you-can-eat fixins for $17.95. Call 970-968-3062 to reserve your spot. Walk-ins welcome. Dinner service begins around 5:30 p.m.
Golfers, you’re in luck. This summer, JJ’s is hosting a nightly Nine & Dine special just for you. Play nine holes of golf at Copper after 5 p.m. and receive a $10 dining voucher to JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern.
The Place: Downhill Duke’s
When: Thursdays
The Deal: Duke’s is named for a four-legged Rocky Mountain legend that didn’t make the cut as an avalanche rescue dog, but always knew how to kick off the après party. The open-air restaurant is known for its specialty cocktails, fire pits and mountainside views—and, of course, its dog-friendly patio complete with an afternoon “yappy” hour (nightly 4 to 6 p.m.) and treats on the menu. Don’t miss Who Let the Dogs Out Thursdays when Duke’s offers a bourbon Manhattan, a footlong Copper dog for you and a bone for the pup for just $9.95. Free Bingo with prizes starts at 6 p.m.
The Place: Ten Mile Tavern
When: Fridays
The Deal: In true Colorado style, Ten Mile Tavern pours from 20 taps behind a gorgeous copper-finished bar in a laid back mountain-modern space. Sports fans: TVs line every wall, so you’ll never miss a game. This summer, stop in on Copper Fry Days for a bucket of 10 Barrel beer-battered fish, hush puppies and fries for just $12.95. Enjoy your first pint of 10 Barrel beer for $5 from 4 to 6 p.m. nightly.
The Place: Toast & Co.
When: Sundays
The Deal: Vintage, hip and lively is the brunch vibe here. Toast is offering a free mimosa or bellini when you purchase a brunch entrée. Round up your favorite crew and snag a table outside and then dive into menu favorites such as the BBA—a savory, forget-the-diet sandwich of Applewood smoked bacon, avocado, marinated roasted tomato, arugula and a fried egg on a toasted telera roll smeared with bacon aioli. Flapjack fans will appreciate the signature pumpkin buttermilk pancakes topped with homemade caramel, candied pecans and ginger butter. Restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday during summer.
Most summer dining specials run through September 15. Check with individual restaurants. Read more about Copper's dining offerings here.
