With summer coming to a close, snowfall is just a couple of months away! If you have not yet purchased or renewed your pass for 2019-20, what are you waiting for? With a brand-new lift granting access to Tucker Mountain, a pass upgrade with endless perks and upcoming sales through Christy Sports Powder Daze, it’s time to secure your attendance at Copper for the upcoming season.
What’s new in 2019-20?
Did you know Copper is currently undergoing a $100 million transformation? With the launch of the 2019-20 season, passholders will have exciting lift access to expert high alpine terrain on Tucker Mountain – to the tune of 273 acres! Although the Snowcat is a blast, this new lift will offer skiers and riders Tucker Mountain access throughout the day, versus relying on the limited hours of the Snowcat and the hiking time required to get there previously. You can look forward to this access, as well as a new warming hut stationed at the summit.
The 2019-20 season also invites all guests of Copper into the ever-evolving Woodward Peace Park, a terrain park that was originally founded in 2011 by decorated and Olympic snowboarder Danny Davis.
Additionally, there is a new hotel in the Chapel Lot opening in 2020! This four-story lodge will offer 127 guest rooms with beautiful panoramas of Copper Mountain. Guests will also be able to take advantage of an outdoor patio along West Ten Mile Creek, along with fire pits and hot tubs for recovering after a long day on the slopes.
Get an Upgrade
The new Copper Premier Pass is an upgrade for 2019-20, and starts at $499 per adult and $299 per child. Perks offered on this pass include a head start of 30 minutes on the American Eagle lift, as well as “fast pass” access at lifts including American Eagle, American Flyer, Kokomo, Union Creek and Timberline. You also get hooked up with free, premium parking at the interior “paid” lots – on a first come, first served basis. Even still, you’ll have season-long access to the Copper Athletic Club (including the fitness center and indoor saltwater pool) and one free high-end demo at Camp Hale Outfitters. Premier can be added on to any season pass ($549 for adults, while kids start at $269), 4-Pack ($249) or Ikon Pass (pricing starts at $749).
Also new this year is the Rental 5-Pack, where you can get five days of rentals for $99 through September 9. As for veterans, for the first time this year, Copper is extending its discounted military pricing to you ($140 off adult pricing, along with kids’ savings, as well)!
Still on the fence on which pass to snag? If you lock in a 4-Pack, you’ll also enjoy four friends and family-priced tickets, along with 10 percent off retail and dining. A season pass, on the other hand, offers 10 friends and family tickets, along with 15 percent off dining and retail. Your season pass also earns you three, free days at Monarch, Purgatory, Powder Mountain in Utah, Taos in New Mexico and free skiing at Grand Targhee if when it is booked in conjunction with lodging.
Where can I go to secure my pass?
If you live near a Christy Sports, you are in luck! Christy Sports Powder Daze run from August 16 to September 3 in Denver, Dillon, West Vail and Steamboat. If you make it to the Denver sale, you can buy a 5-Pack (instead of the 4-Pack) with an extra bonus day added for yourself or friends/family. (If you buy online, there’s no bonus day in it for you.) Additionally, you can buy a Kids Ski Free Season Pass, for kids 15 and younger, which ends September 9.
If you’re still undecided, consider your pass options, so you can take advantage of everything Copper has to offer during the upcoming season!
