During this stressful time, a weekend getaway might be just what you and your family needs. You’re in luck: Copper has lots going on this summer that will not only provide a good time but keep you safe and healthy. You can see all of our protocols here. Let us take the guesswork out of your planning. Here’s a perfect itinerary!
First and foremost, secure your lodging. Stay right on the resort for rates as low as $79 per night. This provides you the best access to all of our activities, restaurants and weekly programming. With the resort being very pedestrian friendly, you can park the car and leave it untouched for your entire stay!
4pm: Sneak out of work early and arrive at Copper. Check into your room or condo and get settled.
5:30pm: Head to West Lake in Center Village for free live music from Umberto Forte as a part of our 10 Barrel Brews & Tunes series. You can pull up a seat, bring your own or enjoy from the patio of High Rockies Whiskey & Wine Bar.
6:30pm: Order a take and bake meal from Copper Provisions at C.B. Grille. These fool-proof meals are available for purchase with all the fixins’ so all you have to do is pop it in the oven or onto the stove once you get back to your room. Order online in advance for pick up or they’ll deliver.
8pm: Turn in early because you’ve got a busy day ahead of you tomorrow!
8:30am: Enjoy the best breakfast you’ll find at Copper at Toast & Co. With menu items like Chorizo Hash and Brioche French Toast, you can’t go wrong.
9:45am: Grab your family activity pass for just $139. For contact-less pick up, purchase online in advance so you can visit one of our ticket kiosks and be on your way. Just print your card and you’re ready to go!
10am: For your first activity for the day, head to the Rocky Mountain Coaster to avoid any lengthy lines. You can reach speeds up to 25mph! Don’t worry, you can take it slower using the brakes.
11am: Walk over to West Village and head up one of our most popular hiking trails Chickaree Way. This ~2 mile beginner trail winds up through the forest next to a stream making for a serene setting. Hiking not your thing? You can take the Woodward Express lift up for a scenic chairlift ride.
12pm – 3pm: Enjoy a beer, games and music at the 10 Barrel Backcountry Brew Pub. Located at the base of the Timberline Express lift (conveniently located right at the top of the Chickaree Way!), it’s a perfect place to post up and enjoy some sun. With games, tie dye and giveaways, the whole family can enjoy. (Open August 8 & 15; September 5th & 12th)
3pm: Hike back down Chickaree Way or take a ride down the Woodward Express to West Village.
4pm: Head back to Eagles Landing in Center Village and enjoy another edition of 10 Barrel Brews & Tunes featuring Beau Thomas. Eagles Landing has plenty of lush grass so you can grab a beverage then sit and enjoy.
6pm: Grab a table on the patio at Ten Mile Tavern for dinner. Try the Spicy Chicken Empanadas or the Fontastic Grilled Cheese.
8:30pm: If you still have the energy, enjoy a movie under the stars at Retro Reels! This free outdoor cinema features classic films every Saturday this summer. (You must reserve a spot online in advance. Click here for details.)
9am: Hit the links for 9 holes at Copper Creek Golf Course in East Village. This course is one of a kind as it features sweeping views of the Ten Mile Range.
11:30am: Make your way back to Center Village to check out our other village activities like our Subaru RC Cars, bumper boats and the Woodward Bike Skills Course.
12:30pm: Copper Provisions doesn’t provide just take and bake meals but also our infamous Mahi’s tacos! Try one of the fish varieties or for vegetarians, the Forager.
1:30pm: Time to burn off those tacos. Pick up your mountain bike rental in West Village (online reservations in advance highly recommended) then head up the Woodward Express chairlift. The mountain features great beginner and intermediate terrain so take it at your own speed.
3:30pm: Head to Downhill Duke’s for one of our popular specials: BBQ & Bingo! Grab a card and play for free starting at 4pm. For just $17.95, you can get a BBQ platter that most certainly feeds two people plus a free beer.
6pm: Time to the hit the road. And start planning your next trip back.
