There is a lot happening around the resort. We know this place means the world to you so as we make these improvements, we’re keeping your heart and your passion in mind. Think of them as home improvements; projects that will make you want to stay awhile.
First and foremost, we’d like to announce three new restaurants that will be opening soon: Toast & Co., Ten Mile Tavern and Downhill Duke’s. Located near the Fire Globe in Center Village, Toast & Co. will feature savory breakfast all day. After dark, the restaurant will transform into an inviting, comfortable atmosphere with craft cocktails. Ten Mile Tavern – formerly known as Endo’s – is steps away from the American Eagle. For lunch, après and dinner, you’ll find plenty of beers on tap with comfort food to keep you satisfied. Lastly, Downhill Duke’s is set to be the best après spot at the resort. Located in the space that was previously Jill’s Umbrella Bar, you’ll be able to soak up the sun and grab a drink after your day on the mountain. The party won’t stop once après is over – Downhill Duke’s will feature outdoor heaters, relaxed seating and a built-in stage.
On the retail side of things, Camp Hale Outfitters will make its debut. Located in the space formerly known as Copper Sports in the Copper One building, Camp Hale Outfitters will still serve your favorite coffee and grab-and-go food offerings but it will include a new wine bar. High end demo rental equipment and retail shopping will also be available at this location. Copper Sports has moved across Burning Stones Plaza to the Copper Junction building, giving guests space for a more comfortable rental fitting process.
Beyond our base area offerings, the construction of the Rocky Mountain Coaster has been underway all summer. Located near the American Flyer lift, this 5,800 foot long coaster will take you cruising through the forest year round. It is slated to open later this fall.
A couple other big projects to note are the Kokomo Express lift and the installation of RFID. The Kokomo Express is replacing the old Kokomo lift providing beginner skiers and riders seamless access from the West Village base area to Copper’s well-known beginner terrain. At the top of this new lift, Koko’s Hut will offer indoor and outdoor seating, food options and restrooms.
Finally, RFID is coming to Copper. This radio frequency technology will be used within all season pass and lift ticket products allowing for quicker and easier access to all base area lifts.
We hope you’re excited as we are to show off all that has been underway. Stay tuned for more details.
